Some members of KYE-YAC joined the Sister City Foundation in a community celebration for the International Day of Peace called ‘seeds of Peace.?
Many young kids and families that stopped by our tent to listen to us read, ?The Peace Tree From Hiroshima: The Little Bonsai With A Big Story,? as this year is also the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima.
We read to the kids and passed out tree seedlings to take home with them, or seeds of peace. Bonsai trees were on display so they could see what their seedlings would grow into one day with the right amount of love and care.
