KYE-YAC and our Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots group sponsored and volunteered at the fifth annual FIRST Robotics Competition (2017 Rock City Regional) – a truly amazing event! FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotics is a great vehicle that provides many opportunities for students now and for their future. The sense of teamwork, competition, and an unbelievably exciting experience makes this program invaluable to so many youth, many of whom are sure to be cutting edge leaders in STEM fields.
FIRST works with Disney ?Imagineers? to design the fantastic robotic game themes. This year it was FIRST STEAMWORKS. Competitions were held across the country and group from Mexico was even represented at the Rock City Regional. It is a global venture that is sure to produce leaders of our future!
