Four years after the founding of the KYE-YAC Family Resource Library at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Division of Medical Genetics, Kye and Dr. G. Bradley Schaefer, MD, met to continue their partnership in providing Arkansas families with resource materials most couldn’t afford.
“Kye is the youngest donor in the history of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). This is quite an accomplishment. The money he has donated to the KYE-YAC Genetics Family Resource Library has been invaluable. We are able to give out important resources for families that have genetic conditions.” says Dr. Schaefer, “We spread the use of these resources across UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH). We literally give out these provided resources every week. We are so appreciative of how this enables us to help our patients.”
The UAMS Division of Medical Genetics is not only cutting-edge but it is also the only medical genetics service provider in the state. Kye and Dr. Schaefer plan to keep the library growing and thriving.
