Shortly after returning from the United Nation’s International Day of Peace in which Dr. Jane Goodall is a UN Messenger of Peace,?Kye began to work with his board, KYE-YAC, International and the Sister City Foundation to participate in a local Peace Day celebration called Seeds of Peace.
We chose to celebrate peace through art, chalk art, on the sidewalk running through the park. Kids and adults took part to share their vision of peace through art – and a little play! It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun! The sidewalk art was uploaded to Dr. Jane Goodall’s Facebook page.
Dr. Jane is an inspiration to all of us at KYE-YAC not just on Peace Day – but every day!
